Greg and I went for a drive to the park and met up with The Birds. There were hundreds of them: Canada Geese, Pigeons, Seagulls and pretty Mallard Ducks. Here's a bit of UBI: Did you know that one Canada Goose can poop 1kg (2.2lbs) per day? That's a lot of green poop.
This last pic is my favourite, the colours of the birds were incredible in the sunlight. Click for a larger view.
This weeks WCB is being hosted at The Cat Blogosphere , so head on over there to check out more furry felines.

Wow! These are fantastic pictures. And you're right- that last one is incredible.
And who knew about the poop. See-spending way too much time blogging IS educational!
I thought these bird pics were great. Their colours against the white canvas of the snow look fantastic and your last photo really does show this well!
Here from Michele's :-)
I wasn't aware of the pooping characteristics of Canadian Geese, Ramona. Blissfully unaware, one might say. But now I know. A kilogram is a lot of nasty wet poo. Fortunately they're magnificent looking birds and I love your pictures of them, Ramona.
Michele sent me!
Hi. Glad you liked my castle pics :-) I would be chuffed to be added to your blog roll and look forward to you coming back :-) Funnily enough I was going to add you to mine, no kidding!
Ramona, thanks for the visit. If it were snowing here, I would be caught dead on the roads! LOL
I thought Canada Geese migrated south for the winter. We have quite a few of them here in Raleigh, and a few office parks with lakes have had to shoo them away because of the amount of poop! It can be a real problem.
Wow, what beautiful birds. I wish I could PLAY with them.
Great photos - especially the mallard ducks. Love the green heads! And to Mr. Mao, thanks for the link to Mah Jong!!!
Hahahaha! We have a photo of a kitty playing Solitaire on the puter! Come visit! We're gonna add you to our blogroll :)
Wow, awesome pics!!!!!
Love your pictures. They do show up very well against the snow. We get seagull and pelican poop on the railings of our dock, and whatever kind of bird happens to be flying through (currently robins) always manages to decorate my car, so I totally believe your statistic on poop volume.
The birds look so neat in the snow. Did you get to feed them?
Nice pictures! Mr. Mao is awesome looking as usual...
